Police are searching for a man accused of spying on a student at Iona College last week using a cell phone camera.
Authorities say a female student was using a restroom inside one of the buildings on the New Rochelle campus when she noticed a man sticking out a cell phone from underneath the next stall.
Campus security was able to obtain surveillance photographs, which clearly show the suspect's face. In the course of the investigation into the "Peeping Tom" case, police discovered a similar incident happened at Adelphi University in Nassau County. When authorities compared surveillance photos from both crime scenes, they say they realized the perpetrator looks similar.
Both campuses are working with police to catch the alleged peeper. People who work in the vicinity of Iona College say finding the man should be a priority.
"I want to know how he got on campus in the first place," says student Anisah Munruddin.
Iona College representatives were not available for comment on the incident and the investigation.
