10h agoPolice are investigating how a worker died at a construction site in Orange County Thursday afternoon.
The fatal accident happened at a popular strip mall on Route 300 in the Town of Newburgh around 3 p.m.
Police say a yellow boom crane being operated off a red truck somehow malfunctioned, and the worker became trapped.
Police say he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The part of the strip mall was once a Chinese buffet restaurant.
It is currently being converted into a Home Goods Store.
