Eastchester police say they have taken a suspect into custody after a lengthy pursuit on foot and on the road.
Police say they were investigating a possible drug deal when Scott Siegel was pulled over just after 6 p.m. After he stopped his Cadillac Escalade, two women allegedly jumped out as he sped off.
Police then tried to shoot out the Escalade?s tires. According to police, he managed to get away and rammed several cars on the road in the process.
A call was placed to police by a resident on Winslow Circle saying the Escalade was left there after a white Mercedes was stolen. That Mercedes ended up at the corner of Main and Jackson streets, where police proceeded to follow Siegel on foot.
Officers tackled and caught Siegel on Main Street. Charges have not been released, but sources say he has a lengthy criminal past.
