The morning after Christmas, Domingo Pena was walking to work at the Greenhills Home for Adults on Route 9W in Haverstraw when he was struck and killed by a car just south of Fairmont Avenue.
Police are calling what happened to Pena ?a horrible accident.? So far, the driver has not been charged with a crime.
"He was always happy,? said daughter Madelyn Pena. ?You never saw him frown or be sad.?
The accident is still under investigation. Funeral arrangements are in place for Friday evening.
