Nassau police say a man has died after he was found lying in a Hempstead street with a stab wound.

Detectives say the victim, a 24-year-old man, was found on Chamberlain Street near Boylston Street shortly before 2 a.m. Saturday. Police say he had been stabbed in the chest.

He was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The victim's identity has not been released at this time.
