A man was fatally struck by a car in Nyack, officials say.

The incident happened on Route 59.

Police say a woman was driving her car when she hit the pedestrian, who entered the traffic lane.

Kevin Stadnick, 35, was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

It is unknown why Stadnick was in the middle of the highway at the time of the incident.
