Police make drunken driving arrests
Alleged drunken driving by illegal immigrants in Putnam County spiked over the weekend, according to police.
Three men, Segundo Loja, Danilo Coronado-Ventura and Romel Atre, were arrested in separate incidents. Brewster police say Mario Cordona was driving drunk Sunday when he allegedly rear-ended a family of five in a Honda Sedan on Oak Street. One child was injured.
The arrests come after two other cases in which an illegal immigrant was allegedly driving drunk. On June 8, Conses Garcia Zacaria allegedly hit and killed a mother and daughter. Segundo Ordonez-Tanay was arrested in a different incident after allegedly weaving through Brewster drunk.
