Police are investigating Monday the death of a 59-year-old Ossining woman whose body was discovered Sunday.
According to Ossining Village police, a relative told cops she had not seen Patricia Mery in days. Police checked the home but did not find anything suspicious. Then on Sunday, police met with the relative and found an unlocked window at the front of the home. The relative found Mery's body on the floor.
Police say Mery is a Connecticut teacher and the daughter of a former Ossining Village police chief. They have not revealed how Mery was killed and say she was a quiet woman who lived alone and kept to herself. The medical examiner is conducting an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
