Police: Stabbing involving brothers leads to arrest
A stabbing in Rye involving two brothers landed one in the hospital and the other in police custody.
The incident occurred just after 9 p.m. at a home on Boston Post Road.
Police told News 12 that the incident involved brothers in their 20s, but wouldn’t disclose their identities.
One of the brothers is in stable condition at a hospital. Rye police have the other brother in custody. He was charged with second-degree assault and menacing.
Rye Police Commissioner Michael Corcoran called it an isolated incident.
“This seems like it was a family issue that got a little bit out of hand, but there's no danger to the public,” said Corcoran.
The commissioner credits his officers with saving the young man's life by using a blood clot kit.
