Police hunt for pair of robbers targeting women
A countywide bulletin was issued for two men police say were involved in robberies targeting women in Eastchester and White Plains.
According to police, two men snatched the purse of a woman walking on Church Street near the White Plains Mall around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. Police say no weapons were displayed and the men took off in a tan four-door sedan.
Police say about an hour and a half later in Eastchester, two women standing at a bus stop on Post Road were accosted and robbed. Investigators say a tan four-door Toyota Camry with North Carolina license plates was used in the getaway. Police say the car may have been stolen from New York City earlier this year.
Police believe both robberies are connected.
