A driver lost control of a car in White Plains, veered onto a sidewalk and crashed into a tree and small apartment building, leaving two people inside the vehicle dead.
The incident occurred around 9:10 a.m. near 295 Battle Ave., according to Public Safety Commissioner David Chong.
