Police crack down on distracted driving
Drivers may want to think twice about texting while driving this month.
It is National Distracted Driving Awareness Month, and local and state police are on the lookout for people using mobile devices.
Departments across the Hudson Valley are taking part in the safety campaign "U Drive. U Text. U Pay." The campaign kicks off tomorrow and runs until next week.
Officers will be out in full force ticketing drivers who text behind the wheel. Penalties include points on licenses and hefty fines.
