A car and a school minibus crashed Friday morning at an intersection in Bronxville.
Police say the two vehicles were traveling south on Midland Avenue when they hit each other somewhere in the intersection of Midland and Tanglewylde avenues. The car went on to crash into a pole and cause a downed wire.
The driver of the car had chest pains and was taken to NewYork-Presbyterian Westchester, according to authorities.
Police say no passengers were on the school minibus at the time of the crash. The bus driver was not injured and was able to drive away.
Bronxville police closed both ends of Tanglewylde Avenue and redirected traffic following the crash. However, the scene has since been cleared and Con Edison workers restored the downed wire.
Police say they have camera footage of the incident. No charges have been filed at this point.
