Police blame rash of car fires on 7 teens from Yonkers
Police are blaming seven teenagers from Yonkers with a string of car fires across Westchester.
Tuckahoe police arrested 18-year-olds Greg Cooper and Chris Binetti, 19-year-old Joseph Miller, 16-year-old John Bertolini and 19-year-old Rosa Pellino Saturday in connection with a car that was torched Monday. Some of those suspects have also been connected to incidents in Eastchester and Mamaroneck, according to police.
Two other teenagers have been implicated in four fires in Eastchester and Mamaroneck. Authorities say the group?s actions were motivated by boredom.
All of the suspects have been brought up on felony arson charges. The teens are due back in court next week.
The teenagers arrested Saturday have been released on $7,500 cash bail.
