Police say they have charged two men Tuesday in connection with a fatal stabbing in White Plains.
According to investigators, 20-year-old Jermaine Pellettier was stabbed in the neck Monday night after an argument with a group of people. Surveillance cameras captured the argument between Pellettier and the group inside the deli but not the stabbing, which occurred outside. He was taken to White Plains Hospital where he later died.
Police say Pellettier had a White Plains address but used the services of homeless shelters. Shelter officials say Pellettier was just a week away from entering a job-training program where he would receive a high school diploma and pursue a career in culinary arts.
Police have charged 20-year-old Ronnie Thomas, of Elmsford, and 19-year-old Chad Green, of White Plains, with gang assault in the first degree. Detectives are still looking for other suspects in the case. Anyone with information is asked to call White Plains Crime Tips Hotline at 914-422-6256.
