4h agoA three-hour armed standoff ended peacefully at a Poughkeepsie home on Wednesday.
It started when a deputy from the Dutchess County Sheriff's office went to 21 Pleasant View Road to serve an eviction warrant.
Police say 28-year-old Shawn Magliocchino took out a shotgun and wouldn't cooperate.
Emergency services and hostage negotiators were called to the scene.
Magliocchino ultimately surrendered and is charged with a felony of menacing a police or peace officer.
Another family member also left the residence peacefully.
