Police say two men were shot in Yonkers Friday afternoon and then drove themselves to the St. John?s Riverside Hospital emergency room.
According to police, the men said they were the victims of an attempted carjacking at the intersection of Ashburton and Warburton avenues.
The incident is the third shooting in as many days. Yonkers residents say they feel unsafe and would like to see an end to the recent rash of violence.
On Christmas Eve, a man was shot while getting his hair cut at a Yonkers barber shop. Then later that night, a man standing in the lobby of an apartment building was shot in the leg.
