Police say one person was killed and two others were injured Sunday morning in a wrong-way crash in Scarsdale.
They say a woman was driving a dark gray Kia Sorrento in the wrong direction on the northbound side of the Hutchinson River Parkway around 4:30 a.m. when she slammed into a gray Land Rover.
Officials say the impact was so powerful that it pushed the Land Rover onto the concrete divider. They say a third car, a black sedan, swerved to avoid the crash but ended up hitting a tree in the woods.
Investigators say the wrong-way driver died. They say her passenger, a woman in her late-30s, was critically injured and was taken to Westchester Medical Center.
Police say the driver in the Land Rover, who is about 30 years old, suffered serious injuries.
The sedan driver who struck a tree said he didn't need medical treatment.
Police say they are continuing to investigate.
