Pleasantville parents and children say they're reeling with a recent decision from the village to close the 2020 pool and summer camp season.
The village Board of Trustees told residents in part, "... The overall health and well-being of our residents cannot be assured in camp and pool environments due to COVID-19 and the operational requirements of social distancing, constant effective sanitization, and policy enforcement... The Village does not make this decision lightly, and shares in the community's sadness."
Some parents feel the village may have made a decision too quickly.
Neighboring villages Mt. Kisco and Briarcliff tell News 12 they're holding off on closing camps and pools for as long as they can.
