The Pleasantville Music Festival has been canceled for 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Organizers say that they can’t predict when it will be OK for people to gather safely, and they might do something smaller later in the year.
Executive Director Bruce Figler says, in a statement that, “We have chosen to cancel the event and not to postpone it to a future date, simply because we are uncertain what the situation will be in the near future, and it’s just not possible to plan for that. We are, however, keeping an open mind toward having some sort of alternate, smaller-scale event later in the year, should circumstances allow.”
Figler says they plan on having the festival return in 2021.
