Pleasantville joins Clap Because We Care to honor crisis workers

People are asked to go their front steps or open a window at 7 p.m. and clap for about five minutes for anyone who has to work out in the public during the crisis and risk getting the virus.

People in Pleasantville have joined the unique way to support those one the front lines of this pandemic.
Neighbors used music, banging pots and pans, ringing bicycle bells, and clapping to show local nurses, doctors, and police officers they care.
Families stood on their front lawns around 7 a.m. during “shift change" times for the special thank you.
Pleasantville joined communities across the country who are now participating in Clap Because We Care, a movement in which people are asked to go their front steps or open a window at 7 p.m. and clap for about five minutes for anyone who has to work out in the public during the crisis and risk getting the virus.
