Neighbors made a memorial for George Foscante who died on Monday. The memorial stands at the corner of Bedford Road and Broadway.
The memorial reads "We hope your last crossing was peaceful. Thank you, George."
The village says he was a longtime resident of Pleasantville.
Foscante was described as a joyful, kind person who made sure kids traveled to and from school safely.
