A Hyde Park woman has died after slamming her car into a tractor-trailer in Dutchess County Sunday morning.

State troopers say the crash occurred around 11:45 a.m. on Route 9 in the town of Hyde Park.

They say Mindy Dohrenwend, 32, was driving her 2005 Honda CRV northbound on Albany Post Road when she lost control of her vehicle, crossed into southbound lane, and hit a 2017 Freightliner tractor-trailer driven by Alexander Lunan Marrison, 49, of Brooklyn.

Dohrenwend was pronounced dead on scene by paramedics.

Icy rods are suspected for causing Dohrenwend to lose control.
