Pelham crane accident victim mourned at funeral
A Pelham construction worker killed in Manhattan?s crane collapse was laid to rest Wednesday.
Tears mixed with rain as friends, family and co-workers filled St. Catherine?s Church in Pelham to say goodbye to 51-year-old Wayne Bleidner. Bleidner was operating the 19-story crane Saturday when it broke and toppled onto a townhouse in Manhattan?s East Side. He was one of seven who perished in the accident.Bleidner was remembered as a wonderful person, hard worker and a great family man. He leaves behind a wife and 10-year-old son.
