Some Peekskill residents are trying to help a woman who was found sleeping on a bench.
They are hoping to find relatives of the woman who goes by the name of Denise Thompson.
Residents have helped feed her and pay for motel fees for the last week.
She will be able to stay safe until Saturday unless others are willing to help or until proper placement can be found.
