Peekskill mother, son duo face drug-related charges
A mother and son face charges after Peekskill police found thousands of dollars worth of crack cocaine and a weapon in their apartment.
Police say they found more than $5,000 worth of crack and a stolen, loaded .38-caliber gun when they raided the apartment Friday. Cops arrested 22-year-old Gordon Smith Jr. and his 48-year-old mother, Charlotte Smith.
Authorities say the arrest was the result of a months-long investigation. They say Gordon was a known drug dealer and his mother was fully aware of his actions in her home.
The Smiths are being held at the Westchester County Jail. Gordon's bail was set at $25,000, while no bail was set for Charlotte.
