Police evacuated Peekskill High School Friday morning after they say someone phoned in a bomb threat at the school.
Shortly after 10:30 a.m., when the threat was received, school administrators and security staff ushered more than 900 students out of the building and escorted them to the Paramount Theater, which was heated and large enough to hold them.
?I forgot my coat,? says senior Jaquon Paige. ?They told us we had 30 seconds to evacuate the school.?
After a brief stay at the theater, school officials arranged to have the students picked up by their parents.
The bomb squad searched the premises of the school and found no traces of explosives.
