Nurses make a difference in people's lives every day, but at White Plains Hospital, the nurses decided to take their good works to the next level.
The nurses in the pediatric ward chose make a large donation to the Junior League of Central Westchester’s diaper bank.
One diaper is only about 30 cents, but a newborn can go through 10 a day.
“There are families in Westchester that are making decisions between buying diapers or paying rent," said Sandra Katz, the president of the Junior League.
Each month a different department at the hospital is choosing a new cause to benefit. The donations are in honor of the hospital’s 125th anniversary.
