11h agoA pedestrian was fatally struck by a car Friday afternoon, according to town of Newburgh police.
Authorities say the accident happened near North Plank Road around 2 p.m.
Rescuers tried to save the victim, but they died on the scene from their injuries.
A medivac helicopter called in to help was called off as a result.
