A rest stop along I-684 in Bedford was shut down for several hours Tuesday night as police investigated a fatal hit-and-run.
Authorities say at around 7 p.m. a pedestrian was struck and killed by a tractor-trailer, whose driver took off. State police out of Somers and Katonah responded to the scene at the rest stop.
Police pulled over the white truck they say was responsible, but there has been no word on any arrests. The identity of the victim has not been released either.
