The pandemic is creating a massive backlog at one Rockland County driving school.
The coronavirus shut down courses at All County Driving School back in March.
But now that it is back in business, owners Lisa Odierno and Diane Mendez tell News 12 it is a struggle to keep up with the demand.
"It exploded. That could have been avoided if it was done a little differently by Gov. Cuomo," Odierno explains. "Instead of the five-hour in classroom, he opened it in Zoom, which is fine. He gave us no notice, just said effective immediately. I felt like a tank of sharks got loose and was coming at me."
Odierno and Mendez say since July 30, they've had over 750 virtual sessions.
"I've been working over 18 hours a day, easy, seven days a week, even on Sundays since it opened," Odierno added. "We got all four months back in six weeks."
