Outdoor activities will soon be given the green light to resume, as Phase 1 of the reopening effort is expected to begin as early as Tuesday for the mid-Hudson region.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo confirmed Friday that horse-riding lessons can resume when Phase 1 starts.
Marelene Von Hagen, of Beech Hill Farm Equestrian Center in Pleasantville, says she's struggled during the shutdown to keep her business open. She says she needs income to keep the farm's 60 horses healthy and ready to ride.
The center will require all riders to wear a mask and follow social distancing guidelines when lessons resume.
