Recycling water at a children's water park will soon save taxpayers money in Ossining.
Currently, the water at the John V. Chervokas Spray Park at the Louis Engel Waterfront Park drains into the Hudson River at a cost to the town of $25,000 a year.
Sen. David Carlucci (D) secured a $100,000 grant to recycle the water, which will reduce the cost to $5,000 a year.
The park is open every day from noon to 6 p.m. except Wednesdays. Ossining officials say the extra savings will also allow them to increase the park hours.
