Police have revealed a twist in the investigation into the murder of an Ossining woman found stabbed to death in her home on Mother?s Day.
Police were called to investigate several domestic disturbances at schoolteacher Patricia Mery's home in the months before she was killed. A court official said Mery, 59, had been engaged in a three-month legal battle with her daughter Anne Trovato, 27, over visitation rights to Trovato's 3-year-old daughter. Trovato has been questioned by police.
Police say they have received dozens of tips. They say the murder was not a random act. Anyone with information is asked to contact Ossining police detectives at 914-941-5913.Related Information Police search for killer of Ossining teacher
