Oscar Thomas charged in death of disabled Yonkers girl
A second person has been arrested in the death of a disabled girl from Yonkers.
Oscar Thomas is being charged with criminally negligent homicide and endangering the welfare of a child in connection with the death of 8-year-old Alayah Savarese.
The girl battled cerebral palsy and suffered seizure disorders. She was found dead in her Yonkers apartment in June 2012.
Thomas is the husband of the child's mother, Nicole Diggs, who was arrested last week on the same charges.
