Orange County man, Steve Cooper, tries to rebuild after losing wife and home
To say the past two months have been devastating for Westtown's Steve Cooper would be an understatement.
Just weeks after losing his home and his business on Amdurer Road after a fire, he lost his beloved wife Karen.
The Coopers were trying to pick up the pieces after the fire, but then Karen, 73, suffered a heart attack while driving and spun off the road. Five days later she died.
The 200-year-old barn that was their home is now in shambles and is being torn down today. He is staying at his daughter's house right now and says he does plan to rebuild the house.
Cooper says he has lost everything he holds dear, but says the hardest part is not having his wife around.
The community is rallying to help him and are holding a fundraiser/silent auction on June 29.
