Orange County man shot by park ranger in critical condition

An Orange County man is in critical condition after being shot Saturday by a park ranger inside a New Jersey state park. Friends and family have identified the man as 43-year-old Emil Mann of Monroe.

An Orange County man is in critical condition after being shot Saturday by a park ranger inside a New Jersey state park. Friends and family have identified the man as 43-year-old Emil Mann of Monroe. Officials say the incident happened inside Ringwood State Park in Mahwah, New Jersey. They say a scuffle took place between three conservation officers and a group riding ATV?s illegally in the park. One of the officers fired two shots, both hitting Mann. Mann works for the Ramapo Parks Department in Rockland. A family member told News 12 Westchester Mann underwent surgery Saturday night and Sunday. He is in critical condition in the ICU at Hackensack Medical Center.
