A Westchester family is celebrating a decade since their conjoined sons were separated at Montefiore Medical Center.
Clarence and Carl Aguirre were joined at the head before their surgery 10 years ago. They now live and go to school in Scarsdale.
The boys still undergo therapy and were told they will always struggle with disabilities. Carl has at least one seizure every day.
Their mother says the fact that both 12-year-olds are alive is reason enough to celebrate.
The anniversary was celebrated today at Montefiore.
