Administrators at both Yorktown and Somers high schools are investigating possible harassment between the boys and girls lacrosse teams.
The Yorktown boys lacrosse team is accused of harassing the Somers girls team before a game on May 25.
The Yorktown girls varsity lacrosse team was facing off against the Somers team in Yorktown. The Somers girls prepared for the match in the boys lockers room, while Yorktown girls were in their locker room.

The Somers school superintendent told News 12 in a statement, "Members of the Yorktown boys lacrosse team entered the locker room and engaged in harassing and intimidating behavior directed towards the girls. Due to the boys' behavior, the girls were forced to leave and relocate to another locker room.“

Yorktown administrators say they only learned of the incident last Thursday through an anonymous letter.
Yorktown administrators say they are still investigating the matter, adding that they are taking it very seriously and want to continue a positive relationship with Somers.
There is no word on any potential disciplinary actions.
The boys varsity lacrosse team is scheduled to play in the semifinals in Albany Wednesday.
