Contrary to previous reports, the third-grader who is accused of making a terroristic threat against her school in Middletown was not scheduled to be in court today.
Orange County officials tell News 12 that there is no timetable for a court appearance at this time.
Police say the Maple Hill third-grader left a voicemail on Dec. 26. The voicemail threatened to harm kids heading back after the holiday break.
The message was found Monday when the school reopened. In less than two hours, police had the girl in custody.
At least a half-dozen fake terror threats have been called in to Middletown schools over the last few months. About 200 parents have signed a petition calling for changes and better security within the school district.
