10h agoA 74-year-old man is dead and another man behind bars after a stabbing at a gas station in Wallkill.
It happened just before 9:45 a.m. Thursday morning.
Police responded to the scene on Route 302 near the Route 17 ramp after reports of a fight in progress.
When they arrived, officers found the victim, Joel Laddy, of the Town of Wallkill, with a stab wound to the body.
He was rushed to Garnet Health Medical where he was pronounced dead.
Detectives later located and apprehended a suspect, 22-year-old Middletown resident, Horace Duke.
