The driver of a car was killed in a collision with a New Jersey Transit bus in Livingston, according to the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office.
Officials say that the bus crashed into the car near Latham Court and South Orange Avenue, not far from the Livingston Mall. The crash happened Tuesday afternoon.
The force of the collision caused the car to crash into a nearby wooded area. Authorities say that the elderly driver of the car was killed in the collision.
The front of the bus was badly damaged from the crash. Several people on the bus suffered minor injuries.
NJ Transit officials say that the No. 70 bus had just picked up passengers at the Livingston Mall and was headed to Newark Penn Station.
