A man in his mid-70s died Saturday while conducting an illegal burn on his property in Cornwall, authorities say.

A man in his mid-70s died Saturday while conducting an illegal burn on his property in Cornwall, authorities say.
Firefighters responded in the afternoon to Ziegler Lane, a private road off Orrs Mill Road, but it was too late.
Officials say the fire quickly got out of control and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
There were no other injuries.
