Officials say that construction on the Ashford Avenue Bridge in Dobbs Ferry is ahead of schedule.

On Wednesday evening, crews moved into phase two of the $18 million renovation project.

It’s good news for Helen Ambinder, who says she's often been stuck in traffic ever since work on the bridge began last year.

Ardsley deli owner Roy Hadad says he will also be happy to to see the project completed because he insists all the construction and rerouting of traffic has affected his bottom line.

Construction crews have a little more than a year to go before the project is completed.
