Officials say 22 large dogs, including many Great Danes, have been pulled from horrific conditions at a home in Milan.
Rescuers tell News 12 state police responded to the home last Wednesday to do a welfare check on the owner.
The man was found deceased with the dogs still inside.
Multiple rescue groups responded to remove the dogs.
Several canine skeletons were also found.
Amid the conditions in the home, the president of Ulster County Canines says the rescue was among the worst instances of animal hoarding the group has ever responded to.
