NYC Ebola patient’s fiancé returns home from hospital
New York City Ebola patient Dr. Craig Spencer's fiancé, Morgan Dixon, was released from Bellevue Hospital and returned home to their Harlem apartment Saturday night.
Officials say Dixon tested negative for Ebola.
Dixon will be quarantined in her apartment for 21 days, meaning that she cannot leave nor receive visitors. The Health Department says someone from their agency will be stationed outside her door to watch over her during this time.
Officials say Dixon will have access to electronics so she can communicate with her friends, family and fiance.
The couple's apartment building has been surrounded by the Department of Health, Office of Emergency Management and police officers since Spencer was diagnosed. As News 12 previously reported, the disinfecting of the apartment concluded Saturday morning.
The two others who had contact with the doctor are also under quarantine at their homes. Spencer continues to recover in the hospital.
