New York City has been named the "Most Unhappy City" in the United States.
Researchers from the University of British Columbia and Harvard looked at data collected from a CDC survey, and ranked cities after adjusting the results for income, age, marital status and family size, as well as other research-backed factors that influence happiness levels.
The computer ranked New York as the number one most miserable place. Other cities at the top of the list were Pittsburgh, Louisville, Milwaukee and Detroit.
Meanwhile, the top five happiest cities are Richmond and Norfolk, Virginia, Washington, D.C., Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina and Atlanta, Georgia.
