New York Democrats are expected to retain control of both the New York State Senate and Assembly.
Of the 63 seats up in the state Senate, 40 of those are held by Democrats, 20 by Republicans, and three are currently vacant.
In the Assembly, Democrats occupy 102 of the 150 seats, while the GOP has only 42.
There's one independent and five vacancies.
