Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry teamed up with the New York Cosmos to host a three-day soccer camp this week with proceeds going to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Hudson Valley.

The teamwork is all to help grant the wish of a local child named Abigail who's dealing with a life-threatening medical condition.

Abigail's mom says her daughter's wish was a trip to Disneyland, which she took with her family in February. "You don't realize as a parent how excited you get to see your child relax. And that is really what our wish was. Everybody relaxed, she had an amazing time, her brother had an amazing time."

The Hudson Valley chapter of the Make-a-Wish Foundation has granted wishes to more than 2,000 children since 1986.
