A piece of art on display in the lobby at the Westchester County Courthouse in White Plains is raising some objections.
A bronze statue of a nude woman is part of 35 award-winning pieces of art currently on display in the courthouse. While some visitors agree it is a beautiful work of art, others say they feel the sculpture is too revealing and doesn?t belong in the courthouse.
There has been so much fuss about the statue since its placement last week that Westchester County Executive Andy Spano has agreed to move the piece to a less conspicuous place not yet determined. An exhibition to showcase all the artwork will take place on April 18.
